COMMUNICATIONS: Killing us softly

Most people I know would say that they're not influenced by advertising at all. That would be next to impossible for the average person who is bombarded by 2,000-3,000 advertisements PER DAY. What they are probably trying to say is that, "OK, yes, I watch, read, listen to them but I'm not that stupid...I make my decisions based on rational choices". Have a look at this documentary and tell me honestly how influenced you truly are. Its a presentation by an American author called Jean Kilbourne.

I watched the first video, it is very interesting.
I think that the advertising influences in a negative way our life.
We must have more attention for our adolescent and for younger children.
We adults must to be able to do understand to young that most of the advertising is misleading, that is not telling the truth about the product being advertised.
Instead I agree about the public service announcement that they teach what is good or what not to do if a person is obese, if a person drinks too much or if a person takes drugs

I saw the first movie and I thought that it's incredible to see how the Photoshop program can change the images.
Everyone could be perfect!!! But the reality is another thing.
The teenagers are charmed from the beaty of these top models and they desire to become like theirs, with the same hair, the same nose, the same ass.
They don't know (or don't believe)that the pictures of fashion magazines are built with a pc program.
And so many girls are sad and full of complex because they are chasing something that doesn't exist!!!
