If you haven't heard of Slavoj Žižek you're in for a surprise, in many senses of the word. He is a professor of philosophy and psychoanalysis at the European Graduate School in Saas-Fee, Switzerland. This "Animate" version of Žižek's lecture at the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (RSA, London) on November 29, 2009 entitled ‘Against Charity’ investigates the surprising ethical implications of charitable giving.

Right! I'm surprised! It's so funny like Slavoj Žižek expose his thought with drawings and words. But I have a question: Is it another way to convince us about a thought with drawings in the manner that we don't have the time to think about because we are surprised by the communication way? This seems like tv spots. Only few seconds to look and no time to think with an high impact on our mind. So after few days we have the drawing impresed on our mind and we thought that this is a good one.

Mino, it is quite impressive how lasting the impressions are. Keep in mind that this is an animate version of a speech Zizek delivered to the RSA. I don’t think he actually chose to make this type of a video but it was rather something that RSA decided to do. Take a look at this other RSA Animate entitled “Smile or die”.

This “ANIMATE” is very smart because it tells the truth of what happens in the capitalist world, because rich countries are getting richer and poor are getting poorer.
