Everyone, it seems, are stressed out. It's particularly bad at this time of the year where we are just a month and a half away from summer holidays. We've all read about the causes, the cures, and much much more. But here's a very scientific look at stress. I found this documentary to be a real eye-opener. I highly recommend watching it.

Feeling stressed? Try the dark chocolate cure

I guess everybody knows that chocolate is made from plants, which means it contains many of the health benefits of vegetables. These benefits are from flavonoids, which act as antioxidants. Antioxidants protect the body from aging caused by free radicals, which can cause damage that leads to heart disease. Dark chocolate contains a large number of antioxidants. Flavonoids also help reduce blood pressure, and balance certain hormones in the body.
The chocolate cure for emotional stress is getting new support from a clinical trial. it found that eating about 40 grams of dark chocolate a day for two weeks reduced levels of stress hormones in the bodies of people feeling highly stressed.

So does this mean that we should all run out and go nuts with the candy bars and chocolate cake? of course not (but we knew that, didn't you?)

I agree with you about the benefits of dark chocolate against the stress...but...The proof of swimwear is here...it's a bad idea to eat more chocolate right now!

Stress????
Stress is feelling of tiredness, difficulty of concentration, trouble of sleep...especially in this periode of the year with the accumulation of stress and a significative increase of temperature.
The stress is a signal that our organism sends us for take a break.
For contend the stress needs to avoid the situations stressful and make sports and relax.
obviously the feeding helps: coffe, chocolate.....
chocolate is a good antistress it contains antioxidant and natural energetics substances.

I am stressed in this period.
I try to relax me reading a good book and spending a good time in the mountain with my family during the week end.
